The power of one

We have the power to change ourselves and the world.

It is sometimes difficult for us to recognise this power and to call upon it because we often doubt ourselves. It is somehow easier for us to believe that we are powerless and small. If we look at the great leaders of the past and the present, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela, we see individuals who recognised their power. They had a dream, they had an idea and consistently focussed on it and acted to achieve the result they desired. They were just individuals like us with a vision and belief that they could achieve their vision.

It is curious that we will look at people we admire and feel like they have something more than we do which allows them to achieve their vision. We feel like we are missing something or are not good enough to achieve our vision.

We may have limiting beliefs about ourselves, but these are just beliefs. In truth we are infinitely powerful. So, let us set aside all those limiting beliefs we have about ourselves and let us embrace our power and our ability to be the change that we have always wanted to see.

I may be one person but with the infinite power within me I am limitless.

Happiness is…the power of one.
